IP Network Scanner app good for
I thought about purchasing Scany, but Im confident that an (hopefully soon) update will add "trace route" and other useful tools to IP Network Scanner to make it even better.
Does exactly for what I bought it. Must-have for the more experienced users, specially when you often change the network.
Assuming some basic knowledge of networks, this app works well. Still trying to get remote ( via Internet, away from home) access sorted. Need to know your dynamic IP address for it to work. Good product
I had an issue with the popup menu disappearing but now that
That is fixed I honestly can give this app 5 stars!!!!
Opens my VNC without an issue.
My only requests would be an option for setting the DNS or AD server address for scan ranges that use VPN tunnels. You end up with "network device" and "unknown" if the device doesnt respond quickly.
Assigning a custom name should also be selectable to assign/associated to IP or MAC.
These are minor issues and I wouldnt be surprised if they are addressed in future releases.
I cant leave work without it!
A must have for any admin.

We have wifi in our house for a rental property. Love this app for it allows us to confirm only authorized users are tapping into our system. Great too for letting us know if weve left our own iPad, tablet, computer, or smartphone running when we arent using them. Love this app, has saved us many otherwise wasted Gigs on unused devices. Thanks.
I use it (and the OS X version) to confirm network integrity and keep track of local devices.
Some bad moments
When I change An IP on my network, I start a rescan but composent appear with the old IP !
This sort is useless.... And to expansive for that !
3GS
ios4.2.1
In email, select file custom names, open to ip scanner =>> CRASH
THEN STAYS BROKEN FOREVER, have to delete app and re install before able to get it working again.
Should have got this bug during QA testing, just TOO obvious.
I was concerned that there is always a possibility theres a weekend hacker in the hood. Well, this app lets you scan any range of IPs you need to check for intruders in you LAN.
Period.
This app is the least effective most expensive network tool I own for iOS. I think I still my 10 swirling down the bowl. Has only the most basic functions. Junk.
The app is ok, but when I use it on a network with a high network device count it crashes during the scan on startup. Works ok with a network with a few devices but if you have more than 70 devices you may have the same issue as I have.
Great ip scanner for wireless networks. Works exactly as it should, keeps the Mac addresses, allows notation.
This is now a go-to in my networking toolbox.
